Due to extremely heavy rainfall, approximately 200mm of contaminated water inundated the buildings of The Moreton Bay Sports Club in Tingalpa, providing a catalyst for mould growth and causing extensive damage. During investigative work it also became apparent that several ceiling areas would need to be replaced.
Following decontamination, Intebuild staff completed a refurbishment and partial rebuild of the reception area, bathrooms, lounge and bistro, gaming facilities and the TAB. The work was mainly undertaken overnight to minimize business interruption, with Intebuild staff having to clean and prepare the Club every day for normal operation. During construction of the new kitchen and canteen, a temporary commercial kitchen, with full food-safety certification, was located onsite to enable preparation of all dining options for the Club patrons. |
