This architecturally designed bridge was instigated to provide disability compliant access to car parking at UQ.
Intebuild was contracted to carry out the work, which involved significant redirection of existing drainage to accommodate 600mm diameter bored piers to a depth of more than 5 metres. The structural elements are galvanised steel and the handrails have a powder coated finish.
The unique “falling dominos” design called for careful attention to detail in the on site measuring, manufacturing and placement of the structural components.
The bridge is an easily recognised feature of the UQ landscape, familiar to many students and staff who use it on a daily basis. |
